2024
Years of watching Bob Ross has ingrained pictures of forests & hills into my mind & on occasion one sneaks its way on to a canvas.

2025
I was inspired by Jarrad Wright's animated adult comedy series
"The Big Lez Show"
specifically "Choomah Island 2"

2024
For my 1st year of university I made a stop motion short film called "Some Girl" about a girl running throught a crumbling city & being chased down by some unseen entity, the girl's design was only a silhouette & after each frame of the girl was cut out I used the then remaining stencil to make this 4 piece painting after I had finshed the film.
After the shorts completion instead of just throwing the cutouts of the girl away, I began hiding them aorund places I would go as a fun way of advertising inspired by the British street artist Slinkachu.

I personally don't know how painting fell into digital design at collage but either way, the prompt for this piece was Alice in Wonderland,
I was inspired by the works of Swedish mixed media artist Kristoffer Zetterstrand specifically his work on "de_dust" & "de_aztec"
his out of bounds paintings felt so surreal like we are looking into the worlds without the limitations of physical space, being able to see through walls & objects reminiscent of noclip or free-cam in video games, in where the player is granted access to leave the confinements of the playable area & be able to look inwards, often seeing things the developer never intended you to see such as clipping geometry, cut off textures, out of bound objects & place holders, developer text so on & so forth.
I adore the derealization presents in Kristoffer works, the idea that every wall & floor is just a thin plain hiding a seemingly bottomless void behind it.

The prompt for this piece was once again Alice in Wonderland.
I inspired by the abstract works of the english painter & sound artist Ivan Seal, specifically his work on the album cover for James Leyland Kirby's
"Patience (After Sebald)".
To link it into the Alice in Wonderland brief
I thought about the hookah pipe smoking caterpillar.
So I mixed the ideas together & painted an almost snow globe like terrarium filling slowly with smoke & illuminated by mushrooms.
The absence of the caterpillar was to share a common trait seen in Ivan's other works, that being the absence of people in favour of objects & more abstract sculptures.

2016
I was inspired by the works of American abstract expressionist painter Jackson Pollock & his
"Drip Techmique", instead of dripping the paint onto the canvas I took several pieces of string & submerged them in various colours of paint, before lashing at the canvas for 10 to 20 minutes & periodically rotating it.
