Storyboards & Animatics

The adventures of Mike & Kate
The adventures of Mike & Kate, has been my longest running project,
The project officially began production on the 15th of September 2020 with its 1st draft of the script being created, & from then until the 25th of January 2024, this project has been in a creative limbo.
The project as it stands is an 11 minute incompleate animatic,
on reflection this project was doomed to fail & I admit I had jumped in to the deepend way too soon, I had only just begun learning to draw & had never animated before, as you watch through the animatic you can see the exact moment & shot that boy learnt perspective, the way I drew changed the characters designs changed all of it becoming more detailed & refined as I progressed as an artist, throughout the twilght days of the production I kept looking at the script & older shots & seeing all the short comings, eventually due to life & education I slowly found myself leaving the project behind.
Let me make this clear though, I have not given up on Mike & Kate, it is still my longest running project even if I'm not working on the pilot as of now, I'm constantly working on my style & skills to one day revisit this pilot project,
I was young, enthusiastic, & animating in Photoshops timeline feature, so yes very stupid.
at the drop
of a Penny
Here are some revised storyboards from my as of now in hiatus project.
The story followed Penny a young engineer who suffers a workplace accident with the story following her trying to prevent it from happening again.
The shot below these rough boards, is the origianl.

The shot felt quite static & drawn out, whitch is strange because while making the rest of the boards I was heavly focused on shot composition & having the 21:9 aspect ratio be a physical object in the universe with characters being able to touch trip over & even break.

Good Riddance
Good Riddance project, is as of now on hiatus. As I focus on my study & newer projects, what's unfortunate is this project is 2 shots away from being complete & possibly contains some of my best background work in an animation alongside an original score produced by Madoc Richardson, I'll finish it some day just not today, Good Riddance was a lot & I need time before I can return to the project.
